Washington Graded
14th January 2007                   Grades 3 - 8

Well once again the day started very early! My dad took Me, Laura and Rachel H up to Washington Sports Centre at 8:30am as Rachel was judging.

There weren’t very many entries for this competition and there was only 9 people competing for VerteX. I was first out of us up to compete. After competing my set and vol in the Under 15 girls Grade 4 I was placed 4^th and missed grade 3 by 1.0 and missed 3^rd place by 0.1!

Next to compete for VerteX was Shannon Holloway, competing in the under 17 girls, grade 4. She did very well and came 7^th, missing grade 3 by 2.3 and missed 6^th by 0.3. Laura and Lolly were next in under 19 girls Grade 4, they both unfortunately missed grade 3 but Laura was placed 6^th and Lolly was 7^th.

Competing in the under 17 boys, grade 5 was Max and he was placed 4^th which again is very good. Ben was next and came 2^nd, in the under 11 boys, giving us our first trophy winner of the day. Haram then also came 2^nd, in the over 17 men, giving us another trophy.

Heather and Shauna were the last of VerteX to compete. Competing in the under 17 girls, grade 3, Shauna was placed 5^th and Heather was placed 4^th in the Over 17 ladies, missing grade 2 by 1.1

Overall I think VerteX had a very good day. We had 2 trophy winners and unfortunately no one qualified but there’s always next time.
