American Adventure
Most of us were up at 6 o’clock to get ready to meet at the leisure centre at 7. It was freezing. When the bus arrived we all rushed on hoping it would be warmer. I started off sitting near the back with Lucy but soon ended up with Daniel, Eddy, Trickett and Emma C. After about 3 and a half hours on the bus we eventually arrived at American Adventure, singing Rosey and Jim! Most of the club went on the first roller coaster in the park, the JCB coaster. Unfortunately we couldn’t have it full of verteX people but we still made a lot of noise. After that we went to book the sky coaster (a 200ft freefall). We all arranged to meet back there at half 1 which was when the first people from our club went on (Gary, Rachael H and Emma B). Me an Trickett went on the trampoline things where we met Steven, Lucy and Lucy. We all managed to do double backs in the harness and some people even did triples. Then we all went back to the sky coaster to watch Gary, Rachael and Emma. Next went Eddy, Harry, and Chris, who went on 4 times! Then it was Rebel, mine and Lucy T’s turn. Lucy started crying and nearly bottled it but she changed her mind and came on at the last minuet. I couldn’t pull the rip cord, Lucy started panicking and told me to stop messing around. I did manage to pull it though after about a minute unlike Kimberly. Emma C was already scared at the bottom but when they got to the top (Emma C, Danielle and Kimberly) Kimberly couldn’t pull the cord they were up there for about 5 minutes until eventually Danielle was told to pull it! We then split up again to go on the rides. After going on the trampolines again with Steven we ran to the other end of the park trying to find the others. We finally found them but they where half way through the queue for the water rapids. The person running it let us in with them so we could go on the same raft thingy. I kept trying to jump up so I didn’t get wet but Eddy kept holding me down. Me and Trickett went for a walk round the park and met up with Gary, Dawn, Lewis, Pam, Gail Rachel and Emma B, when they where coming off the speed boat. We all went on the pirate ship then went up to the missile. We filled it with people from verteX and the pics where great. Most of us went on the lazar dodgems. They were only lit up by UV lights, which was unlucky because I was wearing a white top. Me Trickett Daniel and Eddy went on the carpet slide! I lost! It was nearly time to leave so everyone squashed into 3 carriages on the little train and went back to the sky coaster. This time Trickett came on with me and Pipi and she loved it! Last we went back on the JCB coaster then got on the bus to go home. Me Trickett and Eddy sat together an played eye spy for an hour with some other people. We stopped at a service station for MccyDs then went to Gary’s and dropped off Dawn and Lewis. We then got dropped off at the leisure centre and went home. I had a great day and I think everyone else did too!!!!!!!!!
